Fiber Art App

Embarked on creating a single-page website that exemplifies the power of JavaScript in enhancing user interface and experience. This project showcased a feature allowing users to switch between 'Dark' and 'Light' modes, altering the theme of the page on the fly. I employed JavaScript to manipulate the DOM, dynamically changing the stylesheet properties to reflect the selected theme. The design, though fixed and non-responsive, was deliberately chosen to focus on the functionality aspect, demonstrating how client-side scripting can instantly transform the visual presentation of web content without altering the page layout. This straightforward yet impactful use of JavaScript underscores the potential for greater user customization preferences, contributing to more accessible and personally tailored web experiences.

Weather App

In this self-directed project, I designed and built a streamlined weather application using HTML, JavaScript, and Bootstrap for a responsive user interface. By integrating the OpenWeatherMap API, the app allows users to input any city and instantly receive current weather details, including temperature, humidity, and wind direction. A unique feature includes the ability to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature readings, catering to a global audience. The application enhances user engagement by offering an extended forecast section, complete with visual representations of upcoming weather conditions and precise temperature statistics. My role encompassed full-stack development, from connecting and retrieving data from the OpenWeatherMap API using intricate JavaScript and string operations to employing Bootstrap for intuitive design components.

World Clock App

I developed a real-time world clock web application, utilizing the Moment.js library to handle date and time functions seamlessly. This application features a live display of hours, minutes, seconds, and even milliseconds, updating dynamically to reflect real-time changes. One of the key functionalities includes a user-interactive dropdown box, listing various cities globally. Users can select a city to view its current local time, enhancing the application's interactivity and utility. Upon selection, the application adapts to display only the chosen city's time. I incorporated a dedicated button to navigate users back to the universal display, ensuring a user-friendly experience. The project stands out for its precision timing, user-centric design, and efficient handling of time zones, offering a convenient solution for users needing accurate time information across different global locations.
